SIR ALEX FERGUSONS GRANDCHILDREN BADLY HURT IN HEAD-ON CAR CRASH

Sir Alex Ferguson' s grandchildren were seriously injured in a head-on crash yesterday.
Charlie, ten, and Grace, six, were being driven to school bytheir mother Nadine when their Vauxhall Corsa collided with a FordFiesta.
It took firemen almost an hour to cut Mrs Ferguson free from the car.
The 30-year-old - ex-wife of the Manchester United boss's son Darren - suffered a shattered pelvis and broken leg.
Paramedics treated her at the scene and took her to hospital when her condition worsened.
Charlie was sitting in the front passenger seat and smashed hisforehead against the dashboard. It is believed he was not sitting on abooster seat.
His sister, sitting behind him, was also not thought to be on a booster seat and suffered cuts and bruises.
All three were said by doctors to be in a serious condition in hospital last night.
The two children were being treated in Macclesfield Hospital and their mother in Wythenshawe Hospital in South Manchester.
The accident took place in the Cheshire village of Lower Withington, near the family's home.
One witness said: 'Nadine kept saying that she was in a lot of pain and was really upset to be separated from her children.
'Herboy had a really nasty cut on his forehead and was screaming as theambulance man was trying to treat him. It looked like a real mess asthe cars both had to be cut by firefighters.'
