Arsenal Line Up Bordeaux's Marouane Chamakh As Adebayor Replacement
Arsene Wenger is ready to replace 'Ade' with the Moroccan hitman...
As Emmanuel Adebayor edges closer to a move away from Arsenal, Arsene Wenger is lining up Marouane Chamakh as his replacement.
Adebayor is expected to move to Manchester City for around €23 million, and according to FourFourTwo, Wenger is set to spend around €8m of that on Chamakh.
Wenger expressed his admiration for Chamakh earlier in the summer, when he indicated that he would be tempted to bring the Moroccan striker to The Emirates should a forward be needed.
Tottenham, Sunderland and Fulham have also expressed an interest in Chamakh, but Bordeaux will only sell him to club in the Champions League, leaving Arsenal in the clear.
