Michael Jackson's father Joe blaming wife Katherine for son's death

Joe Jackson said he and his wife Katherine argued about Michael's physical condition before the "King of Pop's" death, saying Michael was "looking kinda funny and and frail." Joe allegedly asked Katherine to check up on Michael and "keep him cheered up," but Joe says Katherine declined, citing Michael's privacy, TMZ reported Sunday. "I said this would have never happened if you had went and been with him," Joe said to Katherine after Michael died.
Joe, who was cut out of Michael's will, is allegedly fighting for an allowance of the estate, TMZ said.

Britain's News of the World newspaper, Jackson's father, Joe, tells a reporter he blames his wife (and Michael's mother), Katherine, for their son's death, because she didn't come to Michael's aid when he needed her the most.

"Mothers [are] always the one the son looks up to. I wanted her to step in and go in and say, 'Look, Michael,' a bit ... keep him cheered up, because, you know, if your mother's around you, the son, I would think, would feel better," Jackson said. "But she didn't want to do that, because she was afraid that she was invading his privacy ... and we argued about that several times.
"[I said] 'Katherine, if you don't go see him, he won't be with us too long,' " Jackson continued. "I thought he was looking kind of funny and frail a little bit. I told her, 'This would have not have happened if you had been with him awhile because he would have been more relaxed. By you being with him, things would've went much better than what they did. We lost our son now.' "
On Monday (June 14), a spokesperson for Katherine Jackson responded to those allegations, calling them — and Joe Jackson's actions — "outrageous."
"Joe Jackson's statements and conduct toward Mrs. Jackson are outrageous," Katherine's attorney, Adam Streisand, said in a statement to "Access Hollywood." "The world knows Mrs. Jackson has always been a loving and caring mother and grandmother, and she had a very special relationship with Michael. The world also knows who Joe Jackson is and he seems bent on never letting us forget."
Michael Jackson died on June 25 after suffering cardiac arrest at his Hollywood mansion. The Los Angeles County coroner's office ruled that the 50-year-old singer died of "acute propofol intoxication," in combination with the use of sedatives. Authorities have since claimed that his personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, administered a lethal dose of the anesthetic to Jackson in and attempt to help him sleep. Murray was charged with involuntary manslaughter in February and has since pleaded not guilty in the case.
