Van Persie and Nasri feel it's time to deliver
Van Persie & Nasri: Eager to secure silverware
Robin van Persie has admitted it is a case of what might have been for Arsenal after beating Manchester United.
The Gunners dealt the Premier League leaders a title blow on
Sunday by winning 1-0 at the Emirates, but Arsene Wenger's hopes already
looked over after taking just two points from the previous nine
available.Arsenal have also beaten second-placed Chelsea at the Emirates but failure to overcome so-called 'lesser' teams at home has ultimately cost them the title.
They had been hoping to win their first trophy since 2005 but were beaten by Birmingham in the Carling Cup final before being knocked out of the FA Cup by United and the Champions League by Barcelona.

United
and Barca are set to face each other in the final at Wembley on 28th
May after each won their away leg in the semi-finals.And Van Persie feels the Gunners should be competing with them in the latter stages more often.
"If you look back at a couple of games this year, like Sunday or against Chelsea, we didn't let these big games count because we dropped points against other teams. It makes it very frustrating," he told the club's official website.
Final step
"It is time to make that final step. We came so close a couple of times and achieved a final this year but we need to play at least two or three finals and be involved in those circumstances."If you look at Manchester United, we can be better than them but they are in the final of the Champions League, have a big chance of winning the Premier League and were in the semi-final of the FA Cup. We want to be in those positions and it's up to us to do that."
One of the reasons Arsenal have dropped so many points is because they have conceded several late goals.
Samir Nasri came second in the voting for PFA's player of the year award and he insists he would rather Arsenal clinched some silverware than earn individual recognition.
"I don't care if I'm second or even the best player in the league, I would have preferred to win the Premier League," he added.
Late goals
"I have won nothing since I became a professional at Marseille - I have always lost in the final or finished second in the league."I think they were three good games [against Liverpool, Tottenham and Bolton] but of course at the end we were left really disappointed in all three. We were leading 1-0 until the 102nd minute against Liverpool; time should have been over.
"We were very frustrated but after that I thought we responded well in midweek against Tottenham, played very well, but once again we were leading 3-1 and ended up not winning the game.
"If you want to win the title it's difficult to lose many points at the end of games, and that's what happened at Bolton as well."
