Mariah Carey recorded new material during pregnancy

• Nick Cannon has revealed that Mariah Carey has been working on new music material throughout her pregnancy.

The singer, who gave birth to twins Moroccan and Monroe on April 30 2011, was inspired by the experience of being pregnant and has been recording songs in her home studio, American blogger Perez Hilton reports.
The twins are Mariah’s first children and TV presenter Nick says that the result of the R’n’B diva’s pregnancy project is “phenomenal”.
"She's planning on having a record out this year. She's been working away, and we have a studio in the crib, and [the pregnancy] has totally inspired her on so many different levels,” Nick told sources, “You're definitely gonna see some new phenomenal music from Mariah."
Mariah’s last release was a Christmas record titled Merry Christmas II You at the end of 2010. Her last R’n’B album was Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, released in 2009.
