Sara Bareilles Set To Release 'Kaleidoscope Heart'
SARA BAREILLES is set to release her new
album, 'Kaleidoscope Heart', tomorrow (September 7th 2010). The album is
the follow up to her phenomenally successful
debut record, 'Little Voice', which shot to #1 on the list of most
downloaded albums on iTunes in 2007. Bareilles is best known for her
single, 'Love Song' which - after being used in a television commercial -
peaked at #4 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Appearances on 'The
Tonight Show with Jay Leno', and the 'Today Show' followed, and the
30-year-old rose to prominence in the music world.
In 2009, Bareilles began work on her much anticipated second album - collaborating with the likes of QUESTLOVE, WEEZER, and PHARREL WILLIAMS. The record was produced by Neal Avron, and recorded at The Village Recorder and Sunset Sound studios in Los Angeles. In May 2010, 'King of Anything' became the first single to be released from 'Kaleidoscope Heart', and Bareilles also released a series of videos online that documented the album's creation, one of which featured the singer writing the lyrics to the track, 'Hold My Heart'.
In 2009, Bareilles was nominated for two GRAMMY AWARDS for 'Best Female Pop Vocal Performance', and 'Song of the Year'.
