Washington
-- President Obama's approval rating hit an all-time low of 42 percent
-- and more voters now say they value the endorsement of the Tea Party
than the president, a CNN poll found yesterday.
Obama
approval ratings have hit an all time low, with only 42% of Americans
approving of Obama's performance as president, according to a new
CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll. 54% of Americans disapprove of
his performance.
Obama is now two years into his presidency and continues to struggle with concerns over a poor performing economy as well as the overseas wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The majority of Americans, 56%, say Obama has fallen short of their expectations.

While
this may seem like grim news for our president, he can take comfort
knowing he's not alone. Obama's approval rating matches that of Bill
Clinton, Ronald Reagan and Jimmy Carter in September of their second
years in office.
The CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll was conducted September 21-23, with 1,010 adult Americans questioned by telephone. The survey's overall sampling error is plus or minus three percentage points.
There is a 4.5 percent margin of error for the 506 likely voters questioned in the poll.
