When it comes to fashion, Rihanna is usually more
trendsetter than follower, but lately the pop star seems to be taking
her fashion cues from her A-list friends. On Monday, she took to the
stage at London’s O2 Arena in a sweeping light
up dress that reminded us of the battery-operated gown that her gal
pal Katy
Perry donned to the Met Gala last week. Now, the singing sensation
appears to be copying pal Justin Bieber’s style swagger. The singer
was spotted leaving London restaurant Cipriani Wednesday night, donning
a baggy black sweater and a bright neon flip cap–not to mention a
styled coif that looked strangely
familiar. This, just a few months after teenage heartthrob Justin
Bieber sported a similar outfit–baggy sweatshirt, matching fitted cap
and hair swoosh–while traveling to New York. It could just be
coincidence that both stars have stepped out in near-identical outfits,
but we can’t help but wonder if Rihanna is paying homage to her friends
or taking a break from setting the trends.
