Lin, 24, will release his debut album in July, and the disc will contain songs in English and Chinese.
"I still can't believe this is real," he said in a statement.

Sony did not specify whether Lin's cover of Whitney Houston's signature tune will be on the album or under which record label Lin is signed. Boyle is signed to Sony's Syco Music and Columbia Records.
Lin Yu-Chun voted off singing competition
Lin drew comparisons to Boyle last month after doing his best Whitney-circa-1992 impression on Taiwan's Super Star Avenue. He was voted off the competition a week later.
Boyle's debut album, I Dreamed a Dream, has sold 2 million copies worldwide since its November release.
