Prime Minister Raila Odinga will Thursday lead another round of tree planting in the Mau Forest.
The event, which will be part of the commemoration of the 2010 World Earth Day, is expected to start at 10 a.m. at Songi Kaboyet in Eastern Mau.
The US Ambassador to Kenya Mr Michael Ranneberger is among those expected to participate in the tree planting drive.
Mr Odinga last event in the Mau was in January when he led other Kenyans in a tree planting drive at Kaptunga in Molo.
The PM is once again appealing to Kenyans and friends of Kenya to turn out and support the exercise which he says is another step in the long journey to restore Kenya's environment.
The first round of tree planting targeted 20,000 seedlings as part of reclaiming the Mau, the country's largest water tower.
