Some may tune in for
the Miss
Universe swimsuit
competition, but we're big fans of the National Costume portion of
the show.
We think you can see why. Each lady gets to wear an
over-the-top costume that somehow represents her country -- whether its
the national animal, their beautiful scenery, chief export or what have
you.
Miss Jamaica's butterfly get-up can't be easy to walk
around in, but it sure does make a statement. And we do love hearing
about the contestants explain their costumes.
Watch below for
more. Miss Venezuela's mirrored outfit is really cool, but I'm not
really sure what she's supposed to represent. Any ideas?
Miss
Universe 2010 will air live on Monday, Aug. 23 at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT on
NBC.
