Bollywood's tribute to Michael Jackson |
Ganesh Hegde — one of
Bollywood’s leading choreographers — had his moment in the sun in
the year 1996 when he performed for the opening act of the legendary Michael
Jackson’s History tour in Mumbai.
Today, on the occasion of the King of Pop’s 52nd birth anniversary, Ganesh gives BT a peek into his next music video which has Bollywood superstars Hrithik Roshan, Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra featuring in there with Ganesh himself. Says he, “The music video is my tribute to the man (Michael), who I grew up idolising. I admit that every song of mine has been inspired from Michael... either in the mannerisms or in the footwork. He is my icon and his untimely death on June 25, 2009 left me devastated just like it did to his zillion fans the world over.” Ganesh’s latest album will be released only in October 2010, but since Aug 29 is the most auspicious date in his personal calendar, being his guru Michael’s birthday, he wanted to release at least one of the music tracks today. And Priyanka looks rocking in it!
Michael Jackson's body to be dug up?
More than a year after his death, pop icon Michael Jackson's body will
reportedly be exhumed.
Dr Conrad Murray, the 'Thriller' hitmaker's physician, has been charged
with 'involuntary manslaughter' and his lawyers plan to challenge
Jackson's autopsy, which declared that his death was caused due to an overdose of the sedative Propofol.
The lawyers will argue that the 'King of Pop' died from the use of
recreational drugs and may demand that his body be dug up for new tests
ahead of Murray's trial next year, reported News Of The World online.
"This is a horrifying situation the family have been dreading. They laid Michael to rest and for him to return is just sick," said a source close to the Jackson family. Lead attorney Ed Chernoff has already got the green light to re-test tissue samples removed and frozen after Jackson, 50, died last June. "If the tests don't concur with the coroner's findings, they have the start of a strong defence. The logical next step would be to exhume the body to make new tests," added the source. The hitmaker is buried at the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Hollywood Hills. Jackson's family had gone to extraordinary lengths to keep the exact location secret due to worries that his followers will throng the resting place of their idol.
Jackson's kids finally join school
Late pop legend Michael Jackson's children have finally joined school for the first time thanks to their grandmother's efforts.
Jackson's son Prince Michael, 13, and daughter Paris, 12, were sent by their grandmother Katherine, 80, after she complained: "They have no friends." The children, kept hidden from the public while Jackson was alive, have been enrolled at The Buckley School in California's San Fernando Valley, a prestigious private day school that boasts of Paris Hilton and "Friends" actor Matthhew Perry as former pupils, reports thesun.co.uk. Jackson's youngest child, eight-year-old Blanket, is continuing to be taught at home and friends say he too will soon be attending classes. Katherine, who is taking care of all three, wants them to have a normal life. "They are such bright kids. They have adjusted very well to the loss of their father and are definitely ready for this step. Prince wants to be a movie director and Paris wants to be an actress," said a family source. |
