Rooney In Good Hands At Man Utd, Says Becks

David Beckham says Wayne Rooney is in the right hands at Manchester United after revelations about his personal life.

In an interview with Sky, the former England captain also said he had no problem with Fabio Capello and the Italian had told him his international career could still continue.
Beckham said he was concerned that allegations about Wayne Rooney's private life would affect England’s performance against Switzerland.
"When certain situations happen around the team with individuals it can affect the team," he said while training with LA Galaxy. "But I think they came together and Wayne performing like he did shows his personality."
A few days before the European qualifier against Switzerland, several national newspapers printed allegations about Rooney.

However, Fabio Capello selected the 24-year-old striker despite the media speculation, and he went on to score in the 3-1 win.
Rooney could face jeers and chants from the Goodison crowd when he travels to his old club Everton with Manchester United at the weekend.
But Beckham said that would not affect the striker. "He's definitely at the right team and has the right manager to be able to cope with any situation." he said.
"I know that from my personal experience of being at Manchester United for so many years. It’s a club that puts their arms around you and looks after you and supports you, so he's got that."
Beckham, 35, is still recovering from the Achilles injury which ruled him out of the World Cup in South Africa.
A month ago the England manager said Beckham was too old to be selected for the Euro qualifiers, only to change his mind last week, saying he would consider the midfielder if his injury cleared up.
Beckham said: "It was a surprise at the time, but I spoke to him shortly after that and he explained everything to me and it was brushed under the carpet, so to speak.
"So, you know, I’ve always supported him as a manager and he’s always supported me. I’ve got the utmost respect for him."
Capello has announced he will be stepping down from his post as England manager after 2012.
