The View shrews were denied a second win for the "Best Talk Show Host" category at the 2010 Daytime Emmy Awards in Las Vegas Sunday night.

The honor went to newcomer Dr. Mehmet Oz for The Dr. Oz Show.  Dr. Oz is the latest Oprah Winfrey spinoff to become a daytime megahit.  Winfrey is also responsible for hatching the virus known commonly as Dr. Phil.

The Daytime Emmy for "Best Talk Show" went to The Ellen Degeneres Show in the "Entertainment" category and The Doctors in the "Informative" category.  The View was nominated in neither.

The View returns live Monday morning with Whoopi Goldberg back in the moderator's chair.
