Prince to get BET's Lifetime Achievement Award

MINNEAPOLIS - Minneapolis-native Prince is receiving BET's Lifetime Achievement Award on Sunday night.
The 52-year-old Prince has been making music for over 30 years. He'll join the likes of James Brown, Whitney Houston, Diana Ross and Al Green in being honored by the BET Awards.
BET has said the Prince tribute will stand out, and that it will celebrate the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer's "unique style."
Prince started recording in 1977 and went on to become one of the most influential rock musicians, with 10 platinum albums and 30 Top 40 singles to his name.
The BET show in Los Angeles will be hosted by Queen Latifah and include performances by Kanye West.
