Alabama election results: Tea Party plays an important role

Alabama primary election results are out and it seems that the Tea Party is coming of age. It seems to have played an important role in the elections

We have our first black President in White House and a lot of black politicians are now trying to make it big in politics hoping that they too can emulate President Barack Obama in their respective areas and constituencies.
U.S. Rep. Artur Davis was hoping to become the first black Governor in Alabama. But he thought that he would automatically get black votes as sympathy, but he had to pay heavy price as blacks supported another white candidate as he more consistently campaigned among them.

Ron Sparks’ hard work among blacks and white paid off handsomely as he garnered more than sixty percent Democrats Primary votes compared to U.S. Rep. Artur Davis who got over thirty percent votes.

Meanwhile tea party seems to be coming of age and showing its muscle during the primaries.

Among GOP, the people who had the backing of tea party were more likely to win the GOP primary. Madison County Commissioner Mo Brooks who had the Tea Party support won with more than 50 percent of the vote.
