Guru Has Passed Away

New York rapper Guru died on Monday morning after a grueling battle with cancer, according to MTV News. He was 43. Guru suffered a cardiac arrest in March and was in coma for a while.
According to his music partner Solar, Guru suffered from the ailment for over a year and had to undergo numerous procedures under the supervision of medical specialists. Unfortunately, the legendary MC's situation failed to yield any significant progress. Guru always kept his health issues private, but the news surfaced earlier in the year when he checked himself into a hospital.
Guru started his career as the rhyming half of GangStarr with DJ Premier. He would later go on to pursue a solo career with his well known Jazzmatazz series.
