Selena Gomez isn't taking a page out of anyone's book of Hollywood
antics when it comes to her 18th birthday plans. In a shocking, yet much
appreciated change of pace for a young actress, Gomez is simply
planning a laid back barbecue with some of her best friends.
VH1 provides insight on her not-so-lavish plans:
Thursday (July 22) happens to be Selena Gomez's 18th birthday, and
while having her first feature film, "Ramona and Beezus," hitting the
big screen this weekend is quite a gift — and she got a giant cupcake
backstage at "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon" Wednesday night — Gomez has devised a perfect way to spend this milestone birthday.
"[I'm going to have a] barbecue with my friends," Gomez told MTV News
at the junket for the film. "['Ramona and Beezus' co-star] Joey [King]
is coming. We're gonna go swimming."
Gomez has long been a favorite actress of Dinsey productions, and
recently, has made strides in extending her career as both an actress
and on-stage-musical performer.
